Maungaturoto received 48 mm (4.8 cm) of rain between 12am on the 15th and the morning of the 16th.
Ohaeawai received 22 mm (2.2 cm) of rain between 12am on the 15th and the morning of the 16th.
State Highway 25 was closed between Thames and Coromandel as well as between Whitianga, Coroglen and Hikuai on the 16th.

Parawai School and Thames High School were evacuated on the 16th as a precautionary measure after heavy rain casued flooding and road closures in the area.
