ImpactErosion was particularly severe. Two chains (20 m) of a 25 ft (7.62 m) high bank was eroded to max width of 10 ft (3.05 m).

Property DamageFarm buildings were washed away.

Peak DischargeWaikanae River had an estimated peak discharge of 20,000 cusecs (566 cumecs) at Waikanae Bridge on the 21st from a catchment area of 48 sq miles (124 km^2).
